About the Artist
Hailing from an artistic family, my creative interests outside of work over the years included, tole painting, sewing, and for the last 40 years cake decorating.
Due to family challenges in 2022 that necessitated my assistance, I retired from the Monterey County Department of Social Services (Welfare department) after 19+ years. Helping my family included a crash course in the running and management of their custom art framing business. Among the many perks has been the understanding of art from a finisher or presenters’ perspective and the improvement of my color skills.
In the last 18 months I have had the privilege to see amazing art work that put me in direct contact with many very talented artists. An invitation was given to join several pastel artists who paint. It has been my privilege to be included and to learn under their tutelage, advice, and encouragement.
